Release time:2017-08-05 11:42

In October 2015, Jan Bohman, Mayor of Borlange (Sweden) , made his 4th visit to Wuhan.

Jan Bohman visited the Wuhan Children’s Library to learn about the progress of the “Tusen Ord” project during his visit. It is reported that the “Tusen Ord” project is under planning currently and it is developed basing on the “Tusen Ord” project implemented in Borlange, Sweden. This project tries to provide characteristic education by utilizing various artistic forms. To be more specific, teachers will utilize various tools and activity designs to encourage children to create stories and make discussions by following four kinds of clues including the character, location, affair and problem.

“By comparing experiences from “Tusen Ord” projects developed in Wuhan and Borlange, we can learn from each other and make mutual improvements. For example, the “Tusen Ord project” in Borlange only aroused the enthusiasm of children to speak and think. The “Tusen Ord” project in Wuhan has been located inside children’s libraries, which is good idea to arouse the interest of children to read," Mr. Bohman explained.

According to the planning scheme of “Tusen Ord” project, children can be sent to Wuhan and Borlange to gain diversified experiences from different “Tusen Ord” projects, to communicate with each other, and to give performances and display original works related to “Tusen Ord”. This will help to develop new channels for children in Wuhan to make foreign cultural exchanges.

“Borlange and Wuhan have cooperated in many fields, especially in the educational field,” Mr. Bohman said. Jan Bohman believed that educational cooperation is especially important, as the children represent the future of a country. To help the young generation to understand different cultures of Wuhan and Borlange is beneficial to facilitate the good cooperation between those two cities.
