The opening ceremony of Wuhan Creative Capital United Art Museum held on October 17, 2014 officially launched the "2014 Wuhan Creative Capital International Art Festival". The international art creative feast will last for more than two months (October 17 - December 27), and over 200 artists from 18 countries including China, the United States, Germany, France, Britain, the Netherlands, Belgium, Singapore and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan will present more than 50 art activities in 20 venues at Wuhan Creative Capital (Mahu New Village, Hongshan Street, Hongshan District). Over 1000 sets of high-level cultural and artistic works covering dozens of fields such as oil painting, ink painting, print, sculpture, pottery, device, image, interactive game, fashion design, concept jewelry, modern dance, jazz music, retro furniture, original handwork and 3D printing will bring a real sense of multi-dimensional art trip (cross-time, cross-space, cross-region, cross-field) for the citizens of Wuhan.

　　In order to further enhance the image of cultural and creative industries in Wuhan and the whole central region, enhance the cultural heritage, and enrich the cultural life of the masses, Hongshan District Government and Wuhan Optics Valley Union Group jointly organized the Wuhan Creative Capital International Art Festival. The event is composed of two major thematic activities, including the opening exhibition ("Re-locationization of Western Culture in China: Chinese Contemporary Art Research Exhibition") and the external exhibition ("Cross-region: Multi-dimensional Urban Creative Exhibition") of the Wuhan Creative Capital United Art Museum, and it may become the largest and finest international art festival in Central China.
