-----Li Xin Team ofCollege of Architecture & Urban Planning of Shanghai Tongji Universitycame to Wuhan to investigate the text compilation work
On May 16, 2016, Dr. Li Xin of College of Architecture & Urban Planningof Shanghai Tongji University leaded his team to Wuhan to investigate the text compilation work of “Design Capital” declared by Wuhan specially.
In the morning, Dr. Li Xin firstly visited the Home of Citizens --Urban Planning Museum, had a macroscopic understanding for the history, geography, humanity and planning of Wuhan, and inquired detailed achievements in Wuhan engineering design aspect. Then he visited two culture creativity demonstration parks of Tanhualin and Wuhan Creative World. Tanhualin not only has massive historical heritage, but also shows the vitality of era, and refracts the historical change of Wuhan (as famous historical city). While Wuhan Creative World aims at creating the new art and cultural creative industry cluster, and it integratesgraphic design, industrydesign, animationdesign, gamedesign, space exhibition and other design industries, and strives to create a new cultural industry model by virtue of idea of incubation and acceleration.
In the afternoon, at the meeting room 401 of the construction committee, Dr. Li Xin made discussion and exchange with the principals of associations of investigation and design industry, jewelry design industry and costume design industry of our city, and made in-depth exchange and discussion for sustainable developmentof Wuhan design on the whole level; feature development of historical and cultural blocks, creative cultural park and creative community on the urban regional level; route design of big bridge, tunnel and metro; clothing, jewelry, food and craftwork design on the microscopic mobile level; activity design participatedin by the public, as well as put forward good advice for Wuhan “Shendu (Wuhan applies for “Design Capital” issued by UNESCO)”. After the meeting, Dr. Li Xin felt very satisfied with the investigation activity, and provided excellent materials and information resource for the implementation of the next work.
The participants also included Wang Pucha, Deputy Director of the Municipal Urban Construction Committee, Jin Zhihong, Secretary General of Design Capital Promotion Center and Sun Ming, Division Chief of Division of Law and Regulation of Urban Construction Committee.
