In order to support the development of industrial design and facilitate industrial economic transformation and upgrade, this method is formulated according to the Opinion of Wuhan Municipal People’s Government on Accelerating the Development of Industrial Design (WZG [2015] No. 6). The project mainly includes cultivating municipal industrial design centers, building industrial design gathering areas, building public service platforms, holding Huanghe Cup industrial design competitions, holding activities of Wuhan Industrial Design Week, awarding famous industrial design enterprises at home and abroad, and granting booth subsidies to enterprises that participate in well-known industrial design exhibitions (expositions) at home and abroad. A one-time reward of CNY 200,000 will be granted to the identified municipal industrial design centers. A one-time subsidy of CNY 1,000,000 will be granted to the important municipal industrial design gathering areas, and will be primarily used for building public service platforms, such as rapid prototyping centers, product testing centers, exhibition centers, and professional training centers. The organizations and individuals winning in Huanghe Cup industrial design competitions will be commended and rewarded. The enterprises winning Red Spot Award, IF Award, or IDEA Product Design Award will be rewarded with CNY 80,000. The enterprises winning Chinese Excellent Industrial Design Award or Gold Award of China Red Star Creative Design Award will be rewarded with CNY 50,000. The enterprises that participate in well-known industrial design exhibitions (expositions) will be granted with a subsidy of CNY 2,000 per standard booth. As for the planning, promotion, and organization of Huanghe Cup industrial design competitions, activities of Industrial Design Week, talent training and innovation forums, open tendering will be carried out according to the regulations of the municipal government.
