The first "Fusion · International Art Exhibition of the Disabled" was began in Wuhan on October 20, 2015. Wang Naikun who is member of NPC Standing Committee, vice chairman of China Disabled Persons' Federation and Chairman of China Foundation for Disabled Persons and Hu Shuguang who is Deputy Secretary of Wuhan Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Politics and Law Committee of Wuhan Municipality attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

　　This art exhibition was jointly organized by the magazine agency Disability in China, Wuhan Disabled Persons Federation, South Korea Fine Art Association for the Handicapped and Japan Charity Association and is academic art activity focusing on the visual art creation of the disabled. It is planned to hold the art exhibition every two years. This is the first one and the subsequent exhibitions will be held in various countries and regions in turn.

　　100 art works of 11 countries and regions including South Korea, Japan and USA were exhibited. 70 of them were works of the disabled artists and 30 of them are artists without disability. These works illustrate the concept of equality and harmony between tradition and modernity, the East and the West, and the disabled and healthy people.

　　Upon evaluation of the international expert evaluation committee, 30 art works of the disabled artists won the best Creation Award and Xu Dong, Li Zongshuang, Yu Hong and Sun Tao from Wuhan won prizes. Wuhan Disabled Persons Federation was granted the "Outstanding Contribution Award".
