Traffic Mileage of Wuhan Metro Exceeds Paris Counterpart

The year 2017 witnessed a total investment of 236.1 billion in Wuhan urban construction, an increase of 18% over last year. In 2017, the construction of the second phase of Line 6, the third phase of Line 8, Line 12, Line 16 and Qianchuan Line, as well as many continued construction projects will be started. A total of 16 lines with a construction mileage of 361.8 kilometers will be constructed, thus laying a solid foundation for realizing the target of 400 kilometers of metro mileage by 2020. This year, the first phase of Line 8 , as well as Yangluo Line will be put into trial operation. The metro mileage of Wuhan is expected to surpass that of Paris, which is 221.6 kilometers. The total metro mileage of Wuhan will exceed 232 kilometers with the newly added 51.5 mileage. |
