  ICOMOS Wuhan Research Center of Shared Built Heritage (WRCSBH)/Wuhan Shared Heritage Research Association refers to a research institute which is supported by the Shared Heritage Science Committee under the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), relies on CITIC General Institute of Architectural Design and Research Co., Ltd. (founded in 1952) and focuses on the protection, research and practice of cultural heritage. ICOMOS-WRCSBH aims to fully tap the potential and value of Wuhan heritage with the international view and build an exchange and cooperation platform among governments, enterprises, public institutions, colleges and universities and NGOs, forming a research center of cultural heritage in the Asian-Pacific region. ICOMOS-WRCSBH actively carries out a variety of researches and relevant activities, and in addition to "ICOMOS-Wuhan Crossover Forum" which is held every year, the activities of "Crossover Travel", "Crossover Salon" and "Crossover Lecture", etc. will be held irregularly and the "Crossover" series of books will be published. For the theory and practice combining the protection of cultural heritage and sustainable urban development, WRCSBH is assisting Wuhan Municipal Government in applying for the titles of "World Cultural Heritage" and "City of Design". Simultaneously, as an important institution of promoting the cultural heritage education in this area, ICOMOS-WRCSBH also cooperates with Huazhong University of Science and Technology, CITIC General Institute of Architectural Design and Research Co., Ltd. and Shared Heritage Science Committee under the International Council on Monuments and Sites to successfully create "UNESCO/CITIC - Industrial Heritage Chair".
