来源:主页 发布时间:2022-08-26 15:01

Cities underpin and advance human civilization, whereas higher urban qualities hold the key to a better life for us.
A city located in central China, Wuhan, as the design capital of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN),
has held the "Wuhan International Creative Design Contest" every year since 2019. Echoing the international city
concept and urban globalization trend, and citing UNESCO's 17 sustainable development principles with "green
development, new technology and sustainability" as the guiding direction, the Contest focuses on fostering and
reshaping human-city relations and rediscovering urban energy in urban development. Centering the urban block
transformation of "Upgrading the Old Communities" and creative design of public facilities, domestic and foreign
designers are invited to carry out urban design contests about Wuhan to create an excellent living environment,
promote the transformation of urban development from speedy and sprawling expansion to more quality-oriented
growth, and build the city into a beautiful home where human and nature coexist in harmony. At the same time,
the Contest will enable us to identify more outstanding and talented young designers, fully realize mutual learning
in global creative design and promote extensive and in-depth collaboration through exchanges with member cities
of the UCCN.
The theme of the 2022 Wuhan International Creative Design Contest is "Imagining the Future". Focusing on the
future needs of the city, including child-friendly station design and creative blocks and public facilities design, the
Contest calls for professional design institutions, cutting-edge designers, college and high school students and
creative design enthusiasts from all over the world to join the Contest.
The Contest is launched today, including multiple stages such as collecting submissions, shortlisting, publicizing,

7. Description of the Designated Projects
(1)  “Child-friendly bus stations” and wooden-structured relay stations along Shanhu Avenue in Jiangxia District
The construction project of Shanhu Avenue (Jinlong Street – Hengshisi Road) in the Great Health Industrial Park is connected to Huangjiahu Avenue in the north and Hengshisi Road in the south,
with a total length of about 12.4km. It is the main passage connecting Jiangxia District to downtown Wuhan, with a designed speed of 60km/h for the two-way eight lanes. The total width of the red
line areas is 90 to 100 meters, of which that for the lanes is 50 to 60 meters wide and the green space on both sides 20 meters wide each. The 50 meter-wide road section features a symmetrical
layout with a 3-meter-wide dividing belt in the middle, flanked on each side sequentially by 14.5-meter-wide vehicle lanes, a 2-meter-wide greenbelt sidewalk, a 3.5-meter-wide non-motorized vehicle
lane, and a 3.5-meter-wide sidewalk for  pedestrians. Similarly, the 60-meter-wide road highlights a symmetrical structure with a 3-meter-wide dividing belt in the middle, flanked on each side sequentially
by a 14.5-meter-wide vehicle lane, a 3-meter-wide dividing belt, 5.5-meter-wide non-motorized vehicle lanes, 4.5-meter-wide sidewalk for  pedestrians and a 1-meter-wide roadside greenbelt.
The northern section (Jinlong Street - Zhijin Road), with a length of 7.1km, is mainly for protection, agriculture, forestry, research and development, and residential land, while the southern section
(Zhijin Road - Hengshishi Road), with a length of 5.3km, is largely  for commercial and industrial land. The industries along the route are mainly distributed in biological innovation, healthy towns,
comprehensive services, medical logistics, medical equipment, and biological agriculture, etc. The project connects important ecological green cores such as Bafen Mountain, Tuanjie Reservoir,
Shagang Reservoir, Hongqi Reservoir Ecological Park, and Longwang Mountain along the line.
The project design is based on the theme of “appreciating the gorgeous mountains and lakes in the poetic and picturesque Jiangxia”. Incorporating areas inside and outside of the red line, the design
borrows the natural scenery to showcase the charm of mountains and lakes, strokes ecological roads and shapes a healthy Park, trying to create scenic roads with charming Jiangxia style. Given the
superior natural environment of Shanhu Avenue and combined with the construction requirements of the Great Health Industrial Park, it is planned to build 2 child-friendly bus stations at the Hongqi
Reservoir Ecological Park, and set up 2 relay stations (within a 20-meter-gap) along the whole line, with one located at the intersection of Dongfeng Road and the other near the intersection of Zhijin Road.

1. Specific requirements for the child-friendly bus stations:
a) The design must comply with the relevant national and local laws and regulations, as well as the current relevant standards and regulations of the industry.

surrounding environment, exhibiting the urban outlook.
e) The overall design plan for the bus station shed should integrate public service advertisements and passenger needs. It is necessary to put up some advertisements,
stop sign displays and benches to meet the basic needs of passengers. The size of the visible surface of the light box billboard in the bus shelter is 3450mm × 1450mm (length × height),
the size of the screen production and installation is 3500mm × 1500mm, and the size of the LED information screen is 2928mm × 366mm (length × height).
f) The length of the bus station should allow two buses to drive in at the same time. The length of the whole bus station is 35 meters, the length of the bus stop shed should be controlled
at about 25 meters, and the total height of the bus station shed should be controlled within 3.3 meters, while ensuring the safe passage of passengers.
g) The pavement material for the platform of the bus station needs to be considered cautiously, prioritizing anti-slip and water-permeable materials whenever possible, while allowing for
barrier-free ramps.

and the façade should be made of natural materials with a large area of ceiling-to-floor glass to introduce the exterior scenery into the interior and provide tourists with a leisure experience of viewing
mountains and lakes.
e) On the basis of reasonable functions, the structural system of the building strives to be simple and meets the relevant requirements of green buildings.
f) In response to national carbon neutrality requirements, the building introduces new energy technologies.
(2) A renovated and child-friendly bus station in  a historic district of Wuhan
The Yiyuan Road Bus Station mainly serves residents and students. Most of the administrative organs and institutions of the city are located here, such as the Wuhan Municipal People's Government,
Wuhan Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau, and the Wuhan Archives. In addition, Wuhan Yiyuan Road Primary School (a key primary school in the city) and Wuhan No. 16 Middle School are also in the vicinity,
therefore it is necessary to pay special attention to the needs of children and adolescents when improving services and making the transportation more convenient.

Other materials:
o Yiyuan Road is located in the south of Jiang'an District, connecting Yanjiang Avenue and Zhongshan Avenue, with a total length of about 792 meters. Yiyuan Road is divided into two sections by Zhongshan
Avenue, and the architectural styles of the northern and southern sections are completely different. The southern area is mainly commercial, while the northern section is mostly residential and administrative.
o Yiyuan Road has a long history. It was originally the old base of the Hankou Fort city wall. After the city wall was demolished, it became the dividing line between the French and German concessions. It was
once named Augusta Street and later Hao Street. After the German concession was taken back, it took its present name “Yiyuan”, which was inspired by the meaning of a Chinese proverb that goes "a fresh
start for everything in the years ahead “. It is located in the historic district of Hankou, surrounded by the Jianghan Customs Supervision Office (now the Wuhan Archives), the German Consulate in Hankou
(in the city government today), the Office Building of C. Melchers GmbH & Co., Kunhouli and other historical buildings. Yiyuan Road has witnessed the development of Hankou since it was made an opening port in 1861.
