“New Media Art and Urban Future”

　　New media art is increasingly growing with each passing day throughout the world as information technology rapidly develops. Led by frontier artists and scientists, new media art has gradually spread into urban development and construction, injecting into it innovative vigor and scientific and technological charm, so as to satisfy mankind’s spiritual and material demands in the information society, and promote modernized construction of urban space.

　　Therefore, the Information and Interaction Design Committee of the China Industrial Design Association together with the School of Architecture and Urban Planning of Huazhong University of Science and Technology schedules to hold the “2016 IIDC (Wuhan) New Media Art International Symposium and IIDC Annual Meeting” on December 2nd to 3rd, 2016 in Wuhan. Under the theme of “new media art and urban future”, bearing in mind the development and demands of the current age, focusing on the interaction between and future development trends in new media art and urban development, the symposium will discuss the impact of new media art on fields such as urban environment, entrepreneurship development, and culture and education, so as to offer advice and suggestions to the further integration of art, science, technology and humanity. Meanwhile, the meeting will also collect papers and entries, and plans to invite senior experts from enterprises and universities and colleges for exchanges.
