Wuhan held mobilization meeting, calling for making the best the efforts to build Jianghanchaozong cultural tourism scenic spot into national grade-5A tourism scenic spot and world-class core landscape zone. 

Constructing Jianghanchaozong national grade-5A scenic spot is an important part of optimizing Wuhan Centers along Yangtze River and building the world-class urban center-axial civilization and landscape zone. Wuhan strives to develop Jianghanchaozong scenic spot into the first open national Grade-5A tourism scenic spot with sightseeing on Yangtze River as the theme and become core tourism brand supporting the national central tourism city and Yangtze River landscape zone and a beautiful window to see the "modern, international and ecological Wuhan" by 2018. 

Jianghanchaozong cultural tourism scenic spot extends along Yangtze River and includes the section from the Second Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge to Parrot Island Yangtze River Bridge and the scenic spots located in the area delimited by these two bridges and Qingchuan Bridge, such as the Beach Park, Wuhan Museum of Science and Technology, Hankow Customs House Museum, Qingchuan Pavilion and Wuhan Revolution Museum. The total area is about 16 km², including about 2 km² land area. 

The scenic spot is located in the core area of Wuhan Centers along Yangtze River. The construction relies on the unique riverside natural scenery and modern urban style, bases itself on the wide urban space for leisure in beak parks of Wuchang, Hankou and Hanyang, follows the Jianghanchaozong urban development history, focuses on the rich historical sites, revolutionary culture and modern technology demonstration like Hankow Customs, Qingchuan Pavillion, Revolution Museum and Museum of Science and Technology, makes Yangtze River Light Show and Bosom Friend, the first drifting live drama, as the card and integrate multi-functional landscape resources through multi-modal sightseeing products and routes and the tourism theme to demonstrate Yangtze River culture, ecological characteristics, development achievements and urban civilization of Wuhan. 

Currently, the construction is at a critical stage. Providing modern service facilities, building international market brand and developing ecological environment for tourism will be the focus of works at the next stage.

Construction of the eight major landscapes, such as "The Most Beautiful Beak Park", Cross-River Culture and Sports Theme Landscape, Bosom Friend Theme Landscape, Light Show and Popular Science Education Theme Landscape, Qingchuan Pavilion Cultural History Landscape, Hankow Customs Historical Landscape and Revolutionary Tourism Theme Landscape, will be simultaneously advanced. The public service system including information consultation, guiding, medical treatment and first-aid, intelligent guiding for tourism will be improved day by day and the infrastructures like parking lot, public toilets and water and land transport as well as the internal and external environment of the scenic spot will be continuously optimized.
