By the end of 2016, there were about 15000 corporate entities in cultural industry in Wuhan, together with 28 cultural industry parks in various types, with near 8000 cultural enterprises clustered in key industry parks; the population of practitioners engaged in cultural industry in Wuhan is near 220000 persons, some of them are distributed in the field of cultural creative design including industrial design, animation design, advertisement design, software design, fashion design, jewelry design etc. Many of them include professional designers and groups young students of from various related universities in Wuhan.

　　The population of professional designers in the field of industrial design in Wuhan will reach 6000 persons by the year of 2017. In Wuhan, there are 1 national animation industry base in animation and game industries, 4 national cultural industry demonstration bases, 2 national key animation enterprises, 23 national animation enterprises, 33 provincial cultural industry demonstration bases and industry parks, and 19 municipal demonstration enterprises and industry parks in integration of culture and technology; as for leading talents, a group of dreamful, ambitious and competent excellent talents in animation and game industries have achieved outstanding performance in the aspects of artistic creation, technical R&D, operation management etc, and become the leaders driving industry development and business improvement. The group of high-end talents in animation creation continues to grow. According to the 13th Five-year plan of Wuhan on advertisement design industry, the city will be constructed as "three centers and one highland" in advertising industry in central China (Advertising industry cluster center, advertisement talents training center, advertisement marketing & communication service center, and highland of advertisement technical innovation); it's expected that, by the year of 2020, advertising industry of Wuhan will realize "double multiplication" of market subjects and sales volume of advertisement, to 50000 market players and 20.0 billion Yuan, respectively, and become an important field in response to the national campaign of mass entrepreneurship and innovation; currently, more than 1600 enterprises are engaged in fashion design industry in Wuhan, including more than 400000 practitioners and annual production value of 40.0 billion Yuan; the group of fashion designers in Wuhan is very competitive among China's cities; moreover, many higher education institutions in Wuhan have fashion design courses, such as Wuhan Textile University, Hubei Institute of Fine Arts, Jianghan University, South-central University For Nationalities etc, with tremendous strength in fashion design, and design force only second to Shanghai and Beijing; Wuhan Textile University has been ranked No.1 in design strength among Chinese universities for 15 consecutive years, and cultivated more than 30 winners of gold award at national-level design contest; jewelry design industry in Wuhan relies on talents base of China University of Geosciences; Gemmological Institute (Wuhan) of China University of Geo-sciences is the earliest and largest professional institution of China engaged in gemological education and research, with an output of many talents for jewelry design, appraisal, processing, marketing etc.

　　Another group of design professionals in Wuhan are from the fields of engineering design including traffic design, municipal works design, agriculture, forestry and water conservancy works design, architectural design etc; Wuhan has tremendous strength in engineering design; in 2015, 497 enterprises in Wuhan engaged in engineering design industry, including more than 72800 practitioners, 90.97 billion Yuan operating revenue, 6 qualified enterprises for Grade-A comprehensive engineering design, 24 qualified enterprises for Grade-A engineering survey, 88 qualified enterprises for Grade-A engineering design, more than 11020 registered practitioners, 11 academicians as leading talents in design industry, and 33 design masters; in 2015, 19 enterprises in Wuhan engaged in traffic design, including 10 qualified enterprises for Grade-A traffic design, 6 qualified enterprises for Grade-B traffic design, 5215 practitioners in traffic design industry, representing 7.46% total population of Wuhan engaged in engineering design industry; 777 registered practitioners in traffic design industry, representing 7.68% total population of registered practitioners in Wuhan engaged in engineering design industry; in 2015, 22 enterprises in Wuhan engaged in municipal works design, including 1917 final industry practitioners, and 242 registered practitioners; in 2015, 20 enterprises in Wuhan engaged in agriculture, forestry and water conservancy works design, including 6 qualified enterprises for Grade-A engineering design; in view of the percentage of enterprises engaged in agriculture, forestry and water conservancy works design by number, it represented 4.11% total number of engineering design enterprises, including 3656 final industry practitioners, 401 registered practitioners and 2606 professionals; in 2016, 91 enterprises in Wuhan engaged in architectural design, representing 18.40% total number of engineering design enterprises; in 2015, the population of final practitioners in architectural design industry reached 10707 persons, and group of designers further grew, including 1952 registered practitioners.
