  The 2nd Wuhan Cultural and Creative Industry Summit Forum under the theme of "Culture, Technology, and Creativity" kicked off on August 30th of 2014. Experts and scholars from around China attended the forum, offering their advice for the development of cultural and creative industries in Wuhan.

  Ms. Li Shuyong, a member of the standing committee of Wuhan Municipal Party Committee and the director of the Propaganda Department of Wuhan Municipal Government delivered a speech at the forum. She said that Wuhan has a favorable environment for the development of cultural and creative industries and that it is the right time to develop cultural and creative industries. This forum will have a far-reaching, positive impact on the development of creative industries in Wuhan and beyond.

  At this forum, experts and scholars shared achievements and experience in the development of cultural and creative industries nationwide, and discussed Wuhan's practice in developing cultural and creative industries. The forum serves to promote the urban development of Wuhan.

  Tuo Zuhai, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors of China Cultural Media Group Limited, Chen Shaofeng, Assistant Dean of the Institute for Cultural Industries at Peking University, Guo Kaitian, Senior Vice President of Tencent Holdings Limited, He Zengqiang, Secretary General of Shanghai Creative Industry Center, and other experts and scholars attended the forum and delivered keynote speeches. Yang Shiqiao, President of Changjiang Daily Newspapering Group, and Li Wen, General Manager of Wuhan Yindu Cultural Media Co.,Ltd. are leaders in Wuhan’s cultural and creative industries. They delivered speeches on the development of Wuhan amid the integration of traditional and new media.

  The Action Plans for Wuhan's Creative Industries was also disclosed at this forum. Designed to chart the course for the development of Wuhan's cultural and creative industries, the Action Plans encompass 10 plans for raising the public awareness of proactively promoting the development of creative industries, fostering a favorable environment for creativity, encouraging talent teams and enterprises to develop their capacity for innovation, developing demonstration areas that feature creative industry parks and student creativity centers.
